Our Products

Great American Weaving Corporation is a custom narrow woven fabrics manufacturer and we weave all of our fabrics to each of our customers individual specifications. We also weave military specification (MIL-SPEC) webbings and commercial versions of military specifications.

Many of the fabrics we produce are woven with various fibers including rayon, cotton, nylon, polyester, Kevlar®, Nomex® and Teflon® and are used in various applications including the commercial, recreational, industrial, medical, and military fields. Because we are a custom weaver, we can obtain other fibers and can weave fabrics for any application.

We weave flat and tubular fabrics on narrow fabric shuttle looms and high speed needle looms. We manufacture various fabrics ranging from lightweight binding tapes to specialty heavy weight webbings.

• Tapes and Ribbons

  • Great American Weaving Corporation manufactures various tapes and ribbons. We produce commercial and military specification (MIL-SPEC) tapes manufactured with a variety of fibers. With narrow fabric shuttle looms and high speed needle looms, we have the capability to weave every fabric to each of our customer's individual specifications. Our tapes are woven in various widths and thicknesses in a variety of fibers including Teflon®, Kevlar®, nylon, rayon, polyester, and cotton.

    Also, we are one of the few companies remaining with shuttle looms. Shuttle loom weaving will produce beautiful ribbons and tapes with both edges being woven.

• Belts

  • Great American Weaving Corporation manufactures various belting's woven with a variety of fibers. Our products range from woven trouser and uniform belts to industrial belts used in various industries.

    The majority of our trouser/uniform belts are woven using cotton or nylon yarns. We weave many of the web belts worn by the military today. Our uniform belts can be woven to military specifications or commercial specifications, depending on what each of our individual customer's require. Standard widths are 1 1/4" and 1" wide, but due to the fact that we are a custom weaver, the belts can be woven to any width. We also provide a cutting service and can cut the belt webbing to the customer's desired length before shipping.

    Standard colors for our belt webbings are White, Black, Blue, and Khaki. Other colors may be available depending on quantity ordered and yarn availability.

• Webbings

  • Great American Weaving Corporation manufactures webbings using a variety of fibers. Our webbings are used in various applications and industries. Our variety of webbings include flat and tubular webbings ranging from 1/16" to 12" wide fabrics. Due to the fact that we are a custom weaver, we can weave these webbings to whatever width and thickness your application requires.

    We weave many commercial webbings and military specification (MIL-SPEC) webbings. Our equipment includes narrow fabric shuttle looms and high speed needle looms. Our shuttle looms are used to create a webbing that minimizes failure due to abrasion. All military Class I webbing is woven on this equipment. This webbing is used for critical use applications because shuttle loom webbing minimizes failure by having two woven edges. The shuttle looms are also used to create a seamless tubular woven fabric.

    One of the most popular industries that our fabrics are used in is the bearing industry. Both tubular and flat webbings may be used in this industry depending on the application.

    Some of the most commonly used yarns in our webbings include Teflon®, Nomex® Kevlar®, polyester, nylon, and cotton. The webbings are used in recreational, medical, safety, commercial, military, and industrial applications.
